Here is just another example of a workplace shooting that literally just happened. In order to try and prevent this thread from getting locked, do you think it would be a good idea for pro-gun groups to use examples like this to promote concealed carry and for the lobbying groups to try and use these situations to convince employers to allow CHL holders to carry at work.

KATU reporter Kerry Tomlinson is on the scene of the shooting in Tualatin at the intersection of Martinazzi and Warm Springs and has confirmed that one person is dead.

One victim was shot, who was in a white lab coat who may have worked at a blood clinic, described a man coming in with two guns and she said the shooting began and she began running.

The woman was shot in the leg and it is believed she did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Police have information that the area is safe and the suspect is no longer at large.

KATU viewer Carsten Koldsbaek sent in the photo. The picture was taken on Koldsbaek's cell phone out the window near the shooting.

I think it may be hard to convince individual employers using just these examples without having a significant portion of employees behind the effort. One or two employees risk coming across as 'unstable' or 'risky' depending upon the management.

On a broader lobbying effort level, I would sure like to see more effort in getting employers to allow carry by licensees. Maybe examples of this would help. It would be good if there were some examples of workplace shootings that were stopped by someone else who was carrying. I haven't heard of any major examples of that.
