There are some interesting things about this video that I would like to point out.

1. This video seems to suggest that anti-gun people are driven by emotion rather than logic.
2. Their stance on guns is based solely on fear yet they think we want guns because we are afraid.
3. They never do admit that it was the person behind the gun that does the killing.
4. Though I think her way of thinking was stupid and even immoral I think it took a lot of guts for her to face her fears and stereotypes. So good for her. That said, I couldn't help but laugh at her from time to time.

This video may have been posted before, but I have never seen it here and I have spent every day for the last couple of years on this site so if it has been posted I somehow missed it.

Its been here several times.

its screwed up on both sides. Its a shame they had to put her in a trailer park with a guy with shaved head, goatee and tattoo's. I have nothing against that but its the exact picture the anti's try and portray the average gun owner in America.

She seems to think College is the kids answer to brainwash him out of shooting guns. She is happy and excited after shooting at the end and she still has to say "I didn't enjoy it" even though she has a grin from ear to ear.

Would have been nice if this guy would have had some understanding of the laws to spit in her face when she thought she was so smart.

oh well.. she's just a racist bigot. Eff her

Just solidifying everyone's opinion of us Ma$$holes once again, sigh :)

I know where she's from, it's a craphole. Living there is all the more reason to own a gun for self defense. It's weird how different peoples' mindset works. Some people would (logically) say "I live in a crime-infested cesspool, time to arm myself to defend myself and my family", others say "Ban all guns so that (logical disconnect) I won't get shot/won't have to deal with defending myself". I mean crap, let's face it, she is pretty attractive too, how can she NOT be worried about the possibility of getting raped by some lowlife where she lives?

Also found that strange, Dope.

She realizes that she lives in a very bad neighborhood, but says she has no one to be afraid of... when obviously she does. She is one of those people that think that nothing bad can happen to her.

I was not surprised at all that she ended up with a little better understanding of the gun culture. I also think that any anti could be put through an experience like that and they could realize that much of their fear is irrational and... just silly. Anti's just think that if you own a gun you must be looking to shoot someone or get into a gun fight. They might be shocked when they figure out the truth. :D

Oh really? You are wrooooong! No she is not, and dare support her. She is just ignorant. Think about how many people are like that. How would you like people calling you a racist bigot gun owner? Why do you think I support her? I'd have to disown my own mum if I thought like you. I love her to death, but she too is squarely in the anti column. Go figure! We don't bring up that discussion because it is going nowhere. I also don't tell her she is sleeping inches from guns in a hidden safe when she visits me, otherwise she would freak-out and start screaming at me.

I just finished watching the video and I really enjoyed it. The narrator wasn't biased at all and he explained a lot of things when an anti would've started to complain to themselves about lack of regulations.

Every time there is a disagreement there are opposing views. That said I think we all want the same goal --To be safe in our environment with a full belly. The pro firearm view is to seek out a personal defense solution. While the skill set required to defend oneself with a firearm takes on a competition (ie plinking, target shooting) to maintain the proficiency. The anti firearm view is to attempt to restrict the choice of that option for "The greater good". The anti view IMHO is ("to avoid the need to protect and it will not happen to me") an unrealistic view in the present times that we all live in here in the USA. A lot of the anti camp say that they don't want to stop the hunting aspect but I can see that logic will eventually also progress to restrict and probably eliminate hunting also. A number of youngsters that I have talked with think that hamburger comes from a package at the grocers. They do not connect the death of a cow with the eating of a burger. The views held by the younger generation are in the least disturbing. If fed this type of political correctness without the truth this next generation will indeed be a heard of sheep that will believe whatever is fed to them!!

Rant over:banghead:

There were two portions of the show I found interesting: First was the incident at the pizza parlor when Pia needed to adjust her BB gun. She asked the girl behind the counter if the fact she was carrying a gun bothered her and the girl said no. I'll bet that rocked Pia's world. The second was her meeting with the couple who had to defend themselves with a gun. That's something you seldom (never?) see in mainstream media. Looking at the man's wife, you can still see the trauma. But they were alive and the BG was in jail.

While I initially thought the producers could have picked a better spokesman for our side, if you ignore the tattoos, etc., the guy was patient, spoke well and didn't rant.

The strange thing is that nowhere in the show was it mentioned that Massachusetts has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. On the other hand, the show also didn't mention that Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio, both have higher violent crime rates than Boston. (Don't read too much into that; Houston, a much larger city which has a very multi-ethnic population, Hispanic, black and Asian gang problems, and few controls on firearms sales, has a lower overall rate of violent crime (murder, robbery and burglary) than Boston.)

Such hypocrisy "why do you need guns, who are you afraid of?"

I would ask, "you want to ban guns, why? Who are YOU afraid of?"
