Trying to come up with a list of animal rights organization for work. I've got the biggies - PETA, HSUSA, ALF.

Was wondering if folks here could send me links to others that might be around.

Also, in addition to the NRA who is leading the fight against these kooks?

Google is your friend, of course. Do a quick search on "anti hunting" and you'll find plenty of groups, such as Fund for Animals and the League Against Cruel Sports.

Wikipedia might help, too; start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-hunting

Opposing them, not only the NRA but game-specific groups like Ducks Unlimited and the NWTF have to support maintaining hunters' rights.

Good luck!

Let's not forget our "buds" at AHSA. Do NOT be fooled by the title of this group.

http://www.huntersandshooters.com/index.php (if you want to see poor gun handling watch the video. And *newsflash* according to Ray, the NRA supports Dog and Cock fighting. :rolleyes: )

AHSA will support, develop and distribute common sense public safety programs such as:

Public service announcements promoting the use of simple and effective firearm safety devices and safe firearm storage techniques;
Effective gun safety training for adults and children;
The passage of laws that penalize irresponsible gun owners that allow children unauthorized access to firearms;
Manufacturing standards for firearms to insure our “tools” are safe.
Mandatory hunter safety training.
Standardized mandatory and certified/qualified training for all persons receiving a permit to carry concealed firearms with reasonable requirements for recertification.

Sounds innocuous until you find out who the leaders of this group are and where they came from. Then it reads just like the Brady/MMM playbook. "Common Sense Laws", Standardized Mandatory Training", "Reasonable Requirements", etc.

Sorry Ray, but I'm not going to drink your Kool-Aid.

They see "hunting" as our hertitage. Methinks the boys at Lexington and Concord (not to mention the rest of the Founding Fathers) would disagree.

Safari International is a huge hunting lobby NRA often teams up with if i remember right.
