Hi Ya'All; I may be gettin anxious, but ~ :fire:
I've noticed lately that some Uberti BP revolvers have been on backorder for quite sometime. :( Cabelas is seeing that problem, and Cimarron Arms say " they're at least 45 days out.", or "there's none in the country." :uhoh:
Anyone have any insight on this back up?
Thanks, Sage :):):)

Sure. Simple economics. The world is in a recession. Sales of all goods have been down and are continuing to drop worldwide. In anticipation of slumping sales, manufacturers reduce production levels and keep them low until demand actually rises. Part of that process is to estimate what models will be most popular and shift your remaining resources to support those models, at the expense of not supporting other less popular models. Uberti may have erred in predicting the demand for a given model, or it could be that the one you are looking for isn't highly sought after and thus the pipeline support was intentionally restricted.

This is compounded by the weak dollar - it costs importers more to buy places in the production line, and the greatly reduced availability of credit makes it harder to finance such investments. The importers will not tell you about these last two items however, preferring to suggest that it's the manufacturer's fault.

Aw tell the truth of it ....happens every year this time ...the Italians get alot of time off in the summer ...they shut the plants down for over a month and get behind .
They shut their plants down the whole month of Aug. ever seen how long it takes to get production back up after such a long break .
I order new guns from Taylors co. If I ordered it from another vender it would come through Taylors or Stoger anyway ...they are the main importers for the Italian guns .
Taylors will keep me posted when my order is at the customs dock ...which means another 30 day wait .
Some of the other venders will sell you the same gun cheaper ...but they haven`t been as helpful to me with up dates .

Parts may be worse. I've been waiting over a year for a 5.5 inch barrel for a .45 Pietta New Model Remington.

I can't complain about Pietta; I inquired on their website about ivory type grips for a nickel Remington pocket, after trying Dixie, Track of the Wolf ect... They recommended the ones I already tried then asked for my address, a week later I had a set of grips and a bill for 15 Euro or = in USD. They even followed up to see if they fit ok. Of course this was back in June, before the vacation.
