This is a boar I hunted at Tioga Preserve, Pennsylvania last year. The first year I owned a modern digital camera. One of these days I'll learn how to convert "paper photos" to digital so I can share many more 99 Savage photos.

This 99 (.308) was a gift from my folks way back in the early 1970's. It has joined me for many successful hunts across North America.

My Dad (deceased 2004) hunted with a 99 Savage (300) for many decades. The older type with spool magazine and flip up tang sight. He shot several dozen elk during the years our family ranched in Park County, Wyoming. None got away.

99 Savage is a keeper!
