Mine was flawless for many thousands of rounds...Yours does say "Pro" somewhere on it,right?

I carry the PT145 with no problems at all. I read a review in a gun mag and they were very complimentary about the PT745. Reviews mentioned that afer 18 hours in a concealed carry there were no issues.

If it fits - get it. I love my Taurus

Good luck!

I like the PT-145 a little better than the PT-745 but I've heard all good things about the 745.

I don't see why they even made the PT-745 since it's the same size as the PT-145 which holds 10+1 rounds whereas the PT-745 holds only 6+1 rounds. They are also the same exact price.

I prefer the PT-745 for summer carry. It weighs 4-5 ounces less than my PT-145 (both loaded weight), and has a slimmer grip profile due to the single stack. This makes it easier for me to conceal under a T-shirt. Both are fine pistols:)

I am glad to hear a lot of good things about this pistol. I got it because it meets all my expectations on price, size, easy of concealment and quality. I do have the pro series and I love it. Regarding the capacity I am happy with the 6+1, I do not think I need more, the extra capacity is nice, but it compromise concealment and confort.
