Could a few of you do me a favor and measure the height of their Taurus PT745 Millenium Pro? The Taurus website lists the height as 5.20", but the PT145 and PT111 come in at 5.13". Isn't the 745 the compact version of the MilPro? I suspect a typo on the website, but need the height number. Thanks!

I don't have one to measure but I would suspect it is a greater height due to it being the single stack as the other Mill Pro's are double stacks. I personally wouldn't consider the single over the double just because the difference is so small and the additional rounds are a better trade off, just me though, I own the PT111 myself, great gun and it fits my hand very well.

5.20" from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the grip extension on the mag. It is 4.7" from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the mag well. The extra 0.5" is the grip extesion on the front of the mag.
The 111,145 and 745 are all compact pistols. The differance is the width, with the single stack 745 being a little thinner.
FWIW, Without the grip extension my little finger would not fit on the grip. I can reach the mag release with greater ease (not having to shift my grip) than the double stack pistols.

Hey 745 fans. In case you haven't heard there is a new www.Taurusarmed.net forum replacing the defunct and soon to cease to exist Taurusforum.com. Many of the Taurus owners here are over at the new forum as well as the old crowd from the Taurusforum.com. Seem that the sister forum connected to Taurus forum.com is moving to a new server in a month or so. They had the domain name which Taurusforum does not. That means all the forums( mostly abandoned) will cease to be at all. This another haven and source for Taurus owners. There is also a Rossi section as well as one for Other Guns. Have Taurus revolvers and semi-autos. PT111 Mil/pro and PT22 for the semi-auto stripe. See you here or there.
While the difference in the gun may be minimal it makes a bigger difference in you offhand pocket where the single stack magazine may be residing. I prefer single stack guns for this reason. The double stack mags are a little bulkier in the pocket. I would still pick the 145 over the 745 though. Ten rounds is a LOT in that little package!
