Any differences between WW2 and post....

trigger guard,rear sights,gas plug screw,cartouches.There is probably more but without my Scott Duff book in hand hard to remember.Really need to look at it again ,its been a while.Springfield and Winchester were the 2 manufactures during WW2 from what I remember.

There are subtle differences between a Winny and Springfield also.
 
Minor differences in some parts regarding manufacturing change.... nothing more. All parts still interchangeable through entire production range (excepting the first 80k that were originally "gas trap" versions, and these were re-fitted to "gas port" configuration early on in WWII).

M1 rifle..... Everybody should own one or 20. :cool:
