Any FN pbr-xp owners?

What is the difference between the PBR and the PBR-XP?

I have the 18" with muzzle brake, with no indication other than "FN PATROL BOLT RIFLE" stamped on it.

the PBR XP is a bit of an upgrade over the standard PBR. It has the claw extractor of the SPR and a fluted chrome lined barrel. The PBR has the controlled round feed and a heavy non chrome lined barrel. The PBR XP is marked on the receiver; it's a standard pbr if it doesn't say xp.

While the PBR-XP does have the same extractor as the SPR, the SPR is the only one that has a chrome lined barrel. The XP is a great shooter nonetheless.

Sorry but I am going to disagree with you, my two and the two others at my friends are all chrome lined.

My XP is plain steel. I'm looking at the FN catalog right now, and the PBR series say nothing about chrome-lined barrels. Both the PSR and SPR have it though.

That's not to say that a chrome-lined fluted barrel from an SPR might not have found it's way to a PBR XP somehow.

I am aware what the manual states; I broke it out when we started this conversation. maybe it isnt....looks like it to me though.

ETA: its not...IM an idiot. Where the barrels were turned down and threaded (for suppressors), touch-up blue covered everything so it cant be. The cold blue wouldn't take on the chrome if it was. your right...i'm wrong...I suck...you dont
