Any good sourses for primers?

Is there any place worth buying (and shipping) primers by the 5,000? My local dealers sell a box of 5,000 pistol or rifle primers for $105 plus tax, which seems rather steep...

Will visit the Savannah or Atlanta gunshows to shop...

You will almost always pay the hazmat fee of $20 if you order primers. How far are you from Chattanooga? Shooters Supply is up there, I believe, and they could hook you up.

I'm in Columbus, GA...two hours by freeway southwest of Atlanta, about four hours south of Chattanooga. With today's gas prices, driving costs are more than the HAZMAT fee...

about once/yr i make a pilgramage to either gamaliel or wideners. i'll buy a years worth then, usually about $14/k

not sure where you could go in GA, but georgia precision shooting supplies would be a good bet. their websites' not responding at the moment, but i think it's georgiaprecision.com

There's a gun show in Montgomery, Al at the Shriners Temple on the Eastern Bypass on Jan 21 & 22 its not too far from Columbus. With the price of gas and entrance fee it might still be cheaper to buy in quanity and pay the hazmat fee. rugerman

Too Taxed, Georgia Arms will meet you at Eastman's gunshows and sell 5000 primers for $75 + tax. Give them a call and place your order by the Thursday before the show. All the hardcore reloaders I know get their primers from our local gun show. $60-$65 for a 5000 ct case.

GWALCHMAI, sorry, I went to Savannah early and did not get your message in time to contact GA ARMS before the show. I did check with them at the show...but they had no sleeves. I did pick up a thousand each of SP, LP, and LR at $17/1000 from them, and then ran across another vendor who had a few boxes at $15 ea. That'll keep me going until I can find another deal...
