Does anyone know of any cases, articles, etc that deal with the issue of firearms licenses post-Heller? I'm curious about states that require a license simply to possess (NOT carry issues).

ill second that, nys not just nyc needs to be dealt with, in order to posses a pistol you need to spend $400 and wait 6 months for your "restricted" carry permit. its insane!

edit to add: btw has anybody noticed how different our outlook is on possible gun control compared to pre heller? i mean when heller was being decided there was a LOT of people here claiming it was too early and this could cripple our 2a for ever, now there has been significant legal changes made already, incorporation is being decided, a few states are challenging the fed, and who knows what will follow.

is it just me our have we really really made a lot of progress since say 07?

im pro mg, heck i think we should be able to ccw glock 18c's if we choose.
I didn't see where Heller hurt us, it stated that they didn't do a full review on the scope of Heller and how it applies to felons, and school's etc. I think that mg's will be allowed soon enough, as long as we keep pushing forward.
