Any m1 or m1a owners??

looking to buy my dads two favorite guns. which one should i buy him first. why or why not. any info on the two guns would be great. also post up some pics of them if you have them

The first rifle that I learned to shoot was the M1 Garand
I love the rifle, but I don't own one... maybe I will someday...

Buy the M1a first because it is a detacheable magazine therefore it is evil.

M1A's have the "hi-cap" appeal to them, and the SOCOM 16 is pretty slick--and thus will probably be banned.

However....."real deal" Garands aren't exactly being made anymore. I love my 1942 Springfield Armory.
