What have you got? Lets see some photos:D I'm thinking about getting a 1861 3 band Springfield rifled musket or a C.S. Richmond or a ? I want to stick 58 cal. rifled musket as I already have a couple of minie ball bullet molds

'63 Springfield Rifle-musket

Here's my 1863 Springfield Rifle-musket that I assembled from a Navy Arms kit about 20 years ago. Really accurate with an RCBS 505 grain minie sized to .580/60 grains of 2F BP at 960 fps.

Not many differences between '61 and '63. Hammer shape is the biggest difference.

BTW, they are technically rifle-muskets, not rifled muskets. The difference is that a rifled musket was originally a smooth bore that had rifling added, and a rifle-musket was originally made with the rifling.
