Any news on S&W's M&P .22LR pistol yet?

I hear there's a picture or 2 floating around but I haven't seen it yet. Anyone have any info on it or know where to find the pics?

Are you sure that you're not thinking of their new M&P 15-22? Haven't heard about a .22 lr pistol...
 
I thought at some point there was going to be an aftermarket conversion kit, but it never materialized. Maybe some day...
 
I'm not talking about the 15-22 rifle....I'm talking about a pistol. There's been rumors of it for a while now. I know that it's not out yet....and I don't see why S&W "wouldn't want an M&P .22 pistol" since they have an AR clone .22LR rifle already. It makes perfect sense to me. Get your M&P rifle and pistol and do some low cost training with their .22 counterparts. Heck, Walther did that with the P22 and we all know S&W and Walther are joined at the hip.

Yeah, because we all know that the dozens of different AR pistols already out there are the gun of choice for gangbangers.... :rolleyes:
