Most folks seem to warn against putting anything on your holster that will soften it, as that seems to destroy the boning (shaping) that went into making you holster able to properly hold your handgun. Might want to do a search on it, as I seem to recall a few makers responding some years ago to similar questions.
BTW, why are you trying to increase the speed? Are you gaming?
I would never do this to a leather holster the holster that I did it to was an old plastic carry holster I used to use it is now part of a trick shooting rig.
the best stuff for inside and outside a holster is shoe wax nutrual it does not change the color of any leather holster like some oils do this was reccommended to me years ago by a well known holster maker and since then that is all that i use and " works for me "
