Hey Everybody,
I dont frequent the handguns part of this forum much, but whenever i do the talk seems to be about 1911's or glocks. Any beretta fans out there? I dont own one, but i have shot a 96 at the local gun range and i fell in love with the darn thing! Hopefully i can get one in the future.
Feel free to show them off, I'd love to see and learn as much as i can about them.

I am a big Beretta fan from way back! I have owned quite a few over the years but am down to one Beretta M9. Great handgun made from a company with alot of history. Maybe more history than anybody else!

I sure would like to be, but having problems with one of the lesser models, the 21-A .22 and their customer service didn't do much after 2 trips: I got discouraged....I'm sure Beretta wouldn't have the long history if they didn't make quality firearms....

I have three:

Cougar 8045

PX4 Storm .45

CX4 Storm .45

I'm currently saving my pennies for a Beretta O/U shotgun. I wrote out a little diatribe about my love/hate relationship with Beretta but I decided not to post it. Let's just say that there's more to love than to hate, but sometimes Alice...

For the range my 92 was nice. Smooth trigger and very accurate. It just lost the magic for me. I think the ah hah moment was when I shot my friends glock and every squeeze of the trigger was the same. More of a double action only kind of guy

Can't shoot the full size 92's or 96's very well due to my short fingers and that damn hump at the bottom of the grip. I had a 96 Centurion for a few years and loved the more compact size, but alas it was sold. Big mistake as the Centurions are now worth something of a premium due to their discontinuation.

I do like the VERTEC models with the straight grip. I've shot both the 92 and 96 VERTECs and they were very comfortable and shot very well. I've been considering buying a 92 VERTEC but price is somewhat of a hinderance.

Haven't shot any of the new Storm pistols yet but I hear great things.

The name on my most beautiful handgun says: "Browning", but it was made in Italy by Beretta. It is a Browning BDA 380 in nickle finish and is the prettiest gun I own.....will NEVER get rid of it !! regards hersh :p

I am a huge fan of Beretta shotguns. Their pistols are well made and accurate. I just don't like all the de-cockers, safety levers, jimcracks and whizbangs in all the wrong places.

I agree with Jackslayer. If you want something for the range they are ok. If you need to get down to serious business there are better choices. My opinion, no better or worse than anyone else's.

i had a 92SB and a 92F. the SB was the same thing as the F except, it had a silky blue finish, walnut grips, and the lanyard loop was turned 90 degrees. it was an Italian 92. i loved both of those weapons and regret parting with them. i recently accepted an assignment and had to carry an issued 92F, it made me miss mine alot. they're big, heavy, but great guns.

I have a beretta U22 Neos, which I absolutely love. I had one before, but had some problems with it and Beretta was great about it. Replaced it, no questions asked. I also own a Beretta 686 Special over under shot gun, love that thing. In fact it is probably my favorite firearm that I own. It was a gift when I graduated college. I definitely consider beretta every time I am in the market for something new.

Don't forget the 87 Cheetah.

Super nice .22, I would recommend one to anyone. I'ts the only Beretta I have left. And it's a keeper.

I have a Beretta 8000D (DAO 9mm) Cougar and love it. Although, the trigger pull is long, it is very smooth - somewhat like shooting a good double-action revolver. The 8000D is known as the "slick-side" because it doesn't have only of the odd safety levers that some people don't like about Beretta pistols.

Out of all the fullsize handguns I own the 92fs is the one that's closest to feeling like an extension of my arm. It took a while to get there, since DA/SA wasn't a natural thing for me. I decided since it's the pistol I'm going to be carrying in Iraqistan I might as well be good with it. I've done well in IDPA with it, did not so well at the last National Match, carried one for years when I could effectively conceal it, fired it, dry fired it, and fired it tens of thousands of times. After I get my President's Hundred tab and get out of the Army I'm switching to something more in line with my natural inclinations for an all purpose gun but the Beretta M9/92fs will always have a special place in my heart.

I think Beretta's are great ! i have a 92fs . And have shot the 84fs
and the jetfire 25 acp . They are excellent

Huge Beretta fan!

I own a PX4 Storm in 9mm and I'm getting ready to get the Sub-Compact. Following the SC will be a 90-Two in .40. I also want the Storm in .45.

No other gun, IMHO, is as classy as a Beretta! :neener:

Okay, I do like some of the Sigs, too! I just don't have the money to put $1000+ down on a handgun.

Had a great 21A before the wife laid claim to it. I still get to clean it on occasion. Super little fun gun.

Love my beretta 92fs wish I could still carry a beretta on duty but they took them away back in 97 and gave us Sig pro's. At that time it was a compact I had issued to me and since then have got a 92fs, that's the pistol that on my night stand it the one i carry off duty if I feel the need for something bigger then my 642.

BE safe
