Peltor makes a "Push-To-Listen" ear muff (model P7A) and even after reading their lit. I can't be sure if it will block out noises when the "Listen" button is pushed--maybe I'm just being a bit thick this morning!

Anyone know for sure, or have experience with these? Seems like an inexpensive kinda electronic muff IF they will block shot noise while the Listen Button is ON.

Yeah, your good to go. Peltor wouldn't produce a set of muffs that would amplify gunshots. You can imagine how many people would forget to turn them off if that were the case. Lawsuit aplenty!

Good deal...

Thanks for the "assurance", Red Beard.

I wound up contacting Peltor by email and they said anything higher than 87 db is effectively blocked when the P-T-L is "ON", so you're absolutely correct.
