Howdo all,

I have my eye on a used Sphinx AT 2000PS but I've heard that there have been a few reliability problems with all or certain models - cracked slides, wear caused by the barrel lug, and apparent use of soft materials resulting in general wear. I've only heard about these third-hand so would like to hear from those who have experienced or witnessed any problems.

I have seen a photo of a slide with an apparent longitudinal crack along and above the slide rail (muzzle end) BUT it was only a photo and I would of course need to hold it in the hand to see for sure.

Cheers.

I'm hoping that the lack of response is due to no-one experiencing or knowing of any problems.

In which case, I'd also be interested in hearing from people who haven't had a problem with these pistols.

Thanks again.

I shoot approx. 8000-10000 rds through my AT2000S, it's my main handgun to shoot IPSC here in Switzerland. Never have any reliability problem with it.
Most members of our shooting club shoot Sphinx AT 2000 or the new AT 3000 serie. No one have any problem with it. (beside of the high price)

They are outstanding true Swiss Made pistols from a small manufacture.

My only problem with it is the "slide stop pin" (right terminology in english?)
Like all CZ75 clones the slide stop pin is the chink. Alway have one as replacement pin ready.
