Hi, I'm up in San Bruno. "We" used to do this 2, or 3 times a year, but haven't recently. Most of the time it was at the Los Altos Rod & Gun Club, but there was a least one held at the Chabot Rod & Gun Club. My preference is Los Altos. For me, it would depend on the weekend chosen as I'm on call every other week.

When I'm in town....

I shoot rimfire benchrest at Sunnyvale R&GC & BP at Chabot. I've shot at Los Altos, but don't like their badgeheavy rangemasters or the "Yuppies with Guns" clientel:fire: Got an old friend who's a member & has gotten me in on member only days as his guest a couple times = nice place when it isn't mobbed:)

OK, OK, I'm spoiled, belong to a private club up in the foothills where you let yourself in the locked gate and lock it behind you... 25 & 50 yd rages and a heavybore range out to 200 meters.:p

The members at calguns.net are having a range day at Chabot on July 7. Don't think I'll be making it though.

7/7 happens to be CA IDPA match (in Richmon) date, so probably not going to be good for many folks incl. myself. (Will be shooting SSP/SS.)

If we can decide on what we want to shoot and the range, that may get more people intersted.

These are the ranges that I've been to near the area:
1. Indoor, Target Masters in Milpitas
2. Indoor, Reeds in Santa Clara
3. Outdoor, Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club
4. Outdoor, Los Altos Rod and Gun club

Seems the indoor range only allows pistols, so that may not be suitable. Both outdoor ranges allows pistol, rifle, and shotgun. Los Altos has manual throwers for shotgun. Sunnyvale is slightly cheaper but has a smaller pistol/rifle range.

I see a couple of other ranges mantioned, which I'll try to check it out. If you would post a breif description of those others, that should help.

New to the board, live in Fremont. Depending on when and where, I may be able to attend a gathering (I work odd/changeable hours).
