Spring is almost here! Where are you hunting, what are you hunting with?
I'm going to try Oklahoma this year, took a couple of Texas birds last year. Can't decided if I want to stick to my tried and true 870 or take a new Benelli Nova.

I'll be hunting in the western mountains of VA. State land as usual. There's a nice ridge that I got a lot of response on while calling in the fall. I'll be calling it in the spring, and probably using my rifle once again. Possibly my Mossberg will see some use, but I like the option of extending my range when I only get a day or two for each season.

Season runs from April 12 thru May 15 here in Colorado. I gonna take a combo Turkey/Ski trip down to the southwest part of the state for the opening (extended) weekend. National Forest land with limited access from some land I own down there. I know, it's a tough job - but someone has to do it! Then one day trips to the northern foothills of the Sangres for the rest of the season.

Winchester X-2 with a camo sock on it for shooting iron. While out at the range this weekend I'm going to pattern some Hevi-Shot loads. We'll see how that goes.

Sangres - east-side, approach to Brush Lakes area.

Hope to get about this Spring, but things got busy. May just have to take a break .... ;)

& JohnDog, if it works, why not hook up & share a campfire once if things go that way ... ?

March 20th!!!

I'll be using the trusty old 870 again this year. I'll be huntin some private property here in Central Florida as well as a management area(Green Swamp)Last year I whacked 2 Osceola Longbeards and missed a shot on an Eastern up in South Carolina. Good Luck!:D

i'll be hunting in charles city co., va and maybe in amherst co.,va in the mountains. once again i'll be using my mossy 500 with the xtra-full turkey choke with 3" 2oz turkey loads.

Here in central Arkansas, I can hunt Tom on my deer lease, about 30 minutes from home. Last year I took a jake with my trusty 870. Hope to meet his grandpa this year.

Forgot the hardware thing.

870 Turkey Express, 21" bbl, double bead, w/extra full choke - patterned (to beat the band to find the best load for this'un) = a Federal Premium Turkey 2oz load of #4s. Tried maybe 20 different/various & nothing did as well in this shooter re patterning/density.

Have taken one turkey at all but 50 yards w/this combo. Bet it'd do it another +10.
