Any white finishes?

Parkerized and blued finishes are nice. Blued especially. Only thing is, they don't blend in with the color of clothes a normal person wears (especially in summer). Nickel and stainless works a little better with the traditional white oxford shirt - but isn't there some kind of white finish? White parkerized or something? Thought that the army units that operate in the snow might use something beside camo tape.

My idea is to have a gun that matches the clothes - not as noticeable that way, and it's an extra level of security.

There are the modern polymer coating type gun finishes that come in many colors.
I once saw a 1911 that was white with red parts.

An even better choice would be hard chrome plating in the original matte pearl-gray.
This is a light gray in color and would blend in nicely.

There are a number of companies that offer the coating finishes and several that offer hard chrome.

oddly, I have never actually thought about a white pistol, but I think that would actually look pretty cool. Practical? Well, I don't know, although I guess I can't see why it wouldn't be....

Duracote and probably others make a white finish that is usually for snow camo. Just don't set the gun down when you're washing towels and sheets.

Duracote looks nice... methinks that if you put the 21. white on a gun, then stuck it in a white Ken Null SMZ, and wear a white oxford shirt - it'd disappear, almost without a cover garment. Some people 'camoflauge' with cover garments... why not camoflauge the gun itself? Now I need to find a smith who'll do the job (don't trust my skills) and do it right.
If I do get it colored, I'll probably name it... I'm considering 'Gringo' now.

I realize tastes vary and if you want a white gun by all means find a suitable coating and go for it. BUT, having said that, I personally would feel like a danged fool with a white gun on my belt!!

A local that sells dura coat supplies had an old savage pump gun done up with white metal and pink wood.

It is on his table at gunshows labeled as a "wedding chapel gun".

I'd look at the website; www.lauerweaponry.com . They list a weapon coating called Duracoat that comes in 72 colors. They say it can be put on metal, wood, plastic etc.

You may also want to look at the S&W model 3913 9mm Ladysmith. It has a grey frame and a white/grey grip. Smith and Wesson also made the SIGMA pistol with a white/grey plastic frame. You may still be able to find this model for sale.
