Anybody else had a problem with Remington?

I purchased a SPR-100s earlier this year. I found after patterning that the forcing cone and the choke where drilled off center. This is apperently a common problem in current Remingtons. Although mine was actually made in Russia. So I contacted E.A.A. in Florida as I was instructed to and they told me to pay for shipment of my shotgun and they would determine if warranty was neccesary. They sent me back a completly different gun that appeared to be badley dammaged right out of the box. So I called them and a very rude customer spokes person told me that they had sent me a new firearm(HA!). This was 2 months ago and I still have no gun fire. I have called the shop and tried contacting Remington directly with no results. I have had to cancel 8 hunting trips because of this issue. So, has anybody else had a problem like this and if so, How did you get it resolved? I badly want to purchase another brand of gun but still have my money tied up in this . Any positive response will be a welcome oasis in this customer neglected desert. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Not familiar with that model; then again with teh Intraweb and all the BS, I make it a point to not keep up with current stuff.

Re: Problems, oh hell yes.
They are now part of The New World Order or something, under Cerebus or some such.

Contact your State Attorney General and see if they can assist in getting your money back.

Then: Buy an OLDer shotgun, or if you have to have a new gun, Beretta, FN .
I /we refuse to buy some brands, and actually prefer the OLDer ones.

We tell everybody to buy new, fangled, black , tactical and whatever else, so we can get the old ones they trade in for "gotta haves".

Is EAA handling warranty repairs for made-in-Russia Remingtons? That's kind of cheesy--If Remington are putting their name on it, you'd think they'd handle the repairs.

Go to a pawn shop and buy a used H&R single shot for about 50 bucks, or go to WalMart and buy a new one for about 100 bucks. Then, at least, you'll have a functional shotgun to use until this gets resolved. After that, you'll have a backup/loaner.

Are you the original owner?
How long ago did you buy the gun?
What is the serial number of the original gun verses the replacement gun: Newer or older?

European American Armory. They were the importers of the Baikal guns that are now being sold under the Remington Spartan name. I thought they were out of the picture now, but apparently not.

I sent a gun in to Remington (one of their service centers that then sent it in to Remington) with a small bulge in the barrel due to a choke drilled off center. This was an 1100 vent rib that was at least 10-15 years old. Got the gun back in a month with a brand new barrel. I was quite happy!

Sounds like you got stuck dealing with EAA. I've heard nothing but complaints about the warranty service on their handguns. Looks like the service on your shotgun was no better......
