I shoot a Colt 1991A1 9mm for IDPA ESP. It is indeed soft shooting, that is why the classification times for ESP are tougher than for CDP .45s.

A crazy 18+1 gun is not a 1911.

I have a Springfield Loaded 1911 in 9mm. Its the full size 5 inch barrel, 9 round capacity 1911. Its one of the sweetest shooting guns i own from a recoil and accuracy perspective. Using winchester white box, I can shoot 2.5 inch groups at 25 yards. I ordered some better brands of ammo to see what the gun is capable of with quality ammo in it. I even ordered a milt sparks holster for it, and plan on rotating it into my carry gear. I cant reccomend 9mm 1911's enough!

Marklbucla (high school homie) just got one and damn if he's gonna be the only one breaking it in :D

I have a Kimber Stainless II in 9mm and I love it. Single stack 9+1. Soft shooting. More accurate then I am. Inexpensive to feed.

Yep, actually more than one, such as:

Springfield Loaded

Springfield Lightweight Ultra Compact

Kimber Stainless Target II

Colt Lightweight Officers Model

All are single stack guns and all run just fine with a variety of magazines.

I have a Colt Combat Commander 9mm.
Accuracy is mediocre but the gun is fun to shoot.
Single stack mags hold 9, which seems fitting.

I have one built for steel challenge type of matches. I used a Caspian single stack frame, Kart barrel and a S.A. slide with lightening cuts to speed up cycling. Its sweet! :) :)
I'm saving for a .22 cal conversion now, maybe a Marvel.

I have a Kimber Stainless Target II 9mm, and it's one of my favorite pistols. I've been thinking about getting a Springfield Armory full-sized 1911 in 9mm. How are they in the reliability area? Are you SA 1911 9mm owners satisfied?

nero45acp

I have the one springfield armory 1911 in 9mm, a xd-9 4 inch, and a xd-9 compact. All three springfield guns have been flawless out of the box. the xds are part of my carry rotation, and the 1911 9mm will be too one the milt sparks holster arrives in feb. Hope this helps.
