Anybody know anything about the NRA Golden Eagles

I'm an NRA life Patron member. Recently got a flyer to join the "Golden Eagles". Seems like just another way to pull money from paid up members, but hey, I'm always up for supporting a good cause. Anybody here a member? Does contribution go to a good cause?

Nope lol but I just got one to join there wine club don't even have my membership card yet

It supposedly sponsors hunter safety courses and stuff like Eddie Eagle. I received the same thing some time in the past year, I was in the process of upgrading my Life membership at the time and didn't feel like another $200 was really in the cards at the time.

Thanks! I'm actually more inclined to join if proceeds go to Eagle Eddie, lol. Have an eight year old in the cub scouts. He had to make a "Personal Safety Journal" for the Weblos. He wrote down a bunch of important numbers, etc. and left a page for "Mom's rules" and "Dad's rules". Mom put down the usual don't light matches, yada, yada, yada. Dad pasted the only thing that matters... if you see a gun, Stop, Don't touch, Leave the area & Tell an Adult. Everything else is easy street...

I asked a Church member one day what the golden eagles on his car were (next to his NRA sticker) he said just said it was for giving a lot of money to the NRA lol.

I saw one of those Eddie Eagle commercials on youtube not too long ago, pretty funny (with a good message of course).
