the Lee Perfect Powder Measure, set up on their Lee turret press with the Unniversal Charging die?

If so,

How's it compare to the Pro-Auto Disk set up?

so is the unniversal charging die so new that no one has set it up yet?

or,

are people so happy with their auto disks that setting up the ppm is seen as a waste of time.

If I can pull of buying the new rifle I want this coming year, it will be a .30-06 bolt action.... and I'm thinking that...

1. I'll exceed the capacity of the double stacked auto disk

&

2. benefit from using the ppm with long grain extruded powders.

If I'm reading Lee's web site correctly, the PPM can be set up on their turret presses with the unniversal charging die.

Heck I may have to get one, just to be the first one to write it up.

Well, buddy, I have it set up with the Rifle Charging Die, not the Universal Charging die. So I didn't respond earlier because I don't have your setup.

However, I will mention that I use the Perfect Powder Measure manually (no operating linkage nor return linkage) on that rifle charging die. I use it for rifle calibers because it is immensely easier to adjust than the disk. It measures most rifle powders perfectly, except the largest tubular sticks (like IMR3031). I generally use smaller granule stick powder and it performs perfectly.

I've got the UCD and the PPM, with an eye to using it on my updated turret at some point for charging rifle cartridges. But, I haven't done it yet--still a learner, and still using the "typical" .223 turret setup with the Pro Auto disk.

FWIW, I do have an older, aftermarket adjustable charge bar that will dispense just what I want in H-335--but that's as far as I've gotten.

I hope you'll explore further and do a writeup--I plan to expand my rifle loading this winter, but not yet.
