I saw a Para Ord Semi-Auto named the" Wart Hog " in an advertisement in Shooting Times Magazine. I guess it's named after the Air Force's Anti-Tank Aircraft the A-10 Wart Hog because of it's tremendous fire power. The plane was nick named Wart Hog, because as aircraft go, the A-10 is ugly but tough, hence Wart Hog.
The pistol looked identical to the Para P-10 which went out of production last year. I always liked the looks and concept of the P-10 but from what I read and experienced shooting a friends P-10, they were plaged with FTE problems. Hope they worked the bugs out of the Wart Hog, 10 rounds of .45ACP in a small package equals a lot of comfort.
Anybody seen or fired one yet?

I saw one at a show a few weeks ago. Not knowing much about 1911s, all I can say is that it was light.

I held one at a local store. Short, thick, and ugly. Moving around the slide and other components, I was not overly impressed with the build quality. I'm not a Glock-lover (I only own one - a G36) - but I'd buy a Glock G30 before I'd take a chance on that one. Just MHO - YMMV.

It is the same size as the P-10, and has a polymer frame. The neat thing is it even has romovable grips like the alloy frame P-10.

Glocks 23 ... you sure about that polymer thing?

???
The one I handled on IWA-2004 definiately had steel frame.

Except the larger X-tractor I could not find any difference to old P10-45.

I have the Para Warthog and have fired hundreds of rounds with the only problem the last round 10+1 .#11 nosedives in both mags.Sent the mags to Para and they still nosedive on the last round #11.So far that is the only problem with this gun it fires hollow point + FMJ no jams or miss feeds.Better gun then I expected as I have had problems with other 3'' barrels , added a Pierse mag extender for better grip. This is my first Para and once the mags are replaced it will be perfect for carry.

Para-Ordnance says that it has an alloy (aluminum) frame and plastic grip panels. Says so right on there site. And they ought to know. ;)

I traded back to Kimber my Ultra ten 11 3" that would not shoot more then 2-3 rounds after they tryed to fix it 3 times .
I had 2 Kimber Poly Pro Carrys 14+1 that jammed and I got rid of one before I found that the mags were the problem.New mags with wolf springs and the Poly Pro has shot another 600 rounds without problems, not one..My wife will shoot the Warthog tonight to see if it happens on the last round .
