When you took the class at was distance did you have to shoot from?

you can shoot from the hi and get it. it really ain't that far, i went with my dad when he got his, and though i don't remember exactly how far it was it wasn't more than 5yds.

It's been a while since I took the class, but IIRC mine was 40 rounds at 7 or 10 yards. I shot the test with a .22 (why not save some money, I know I can shoot my .45) and it took about 60 seconds.

I have just finished My NC CCW quals and we shot from 1yd 3yd 5yd and 7yd's we used up 50rnds of ammo(more if you wanted), I scored pretty well with my XD45 Service. Where do you live?? If you are in the western part of the State I highly Recommend Randy Martin in Lenoir, NC. He teaches the CCW class's in a very blunt and seriously realistic way that was greatly appreciated by all who took his class.

Same here. And 1 yard, we were required to fire with the gun down by our hip. No biggie.

we shot at 7 yards only. 50 rounds, at least 40 needed to be inside the 7 ring. did it eyes closed.

1yd 3yd 5yd and 7yd's.... 40rds

Don't worry about it, you will get almost all of them in the 7 ring. That is a big target to shoot from such a small distance.
