Anybody worked as an armed service tech for Loomis?

I'm in the interview process with Loomis Armored (formerly Loomis Fargo and Co.) and was wondering if, specifically in the Birmingham, Al area, if anyone had some recent experience with this job and this specific branch?

Also, I hope to use the interest free loan they offer to purchase my carry gun on the job. I really like the new Springfield XDm's, specifically .40 cal. in a 5 inch barrel. does anyone know of their policies as far as employee weapons are concerned? I know I could find out later through subsequent interviews, but a jumpstart is nice.

I replied to you in the other thread. The range you will qualify at is ATI. On your off time you can use their range for free, and have preatty good discounts on handguns for Loomis Employees. Say Hi to Matt for me.
 
I also applied for Loomis in VA a couple years ago. Really glad I didn't get the job, now that I know what they have to go through and pay received. $11/hr to be a target just isn't worth it.
 
yes thanks rick i'll tell him! :) i decided to go ahead and post a fresh thread after seeing how old that one was. ATI is good. i go there every now and then.

Chris-seems like bham has a little higher payscale then.

what are the off days? ive been itching for a range membership for a long time, but now one might be coming free :D i do know they rotate weekends, but do they give you that day off during the week to make up for lost weekend?

also +1 for discounts :)
