Any rumors about such a beast yet? I know Marlin did a limited run (500ish?) of .32 H&R 1894CB carbines not too many years back. It must've taken a bit of design tweaking, since it was loaded from the tube (.22 style) rather than a loading gate for technical reasons.

I just started reloading .32 H&R, so I'd certainly be glad to see new-production .327 leverguns from Marlin, hopefully ones tweaked to run the shorther H&R and maybe even S&W rounds as well.

Here's the:

Still slightly disappointed that Marlin never made a .480 levergun, though Puma/Legacy stepped up to the plate with their Win1892 clones.

I would like to see that as well but I doubt it will happen any time soon, for two reasons. The .327 hasn't really established itself yet and as far as I have read, Marlin is selling pretty much all the guns the can manufacture at the moment. Why tool up for a new cartridge when everything they have already is moving so well.

Well do like I did and take the time to write them a letter. I wrote Marlin and Ruger. I never heard from Marlin but I got a nice letter and patch from Ruger. It only takes a few minutes and if they get enough of them they may get the hint.

I would rather see a Puma is the 327 but they don't seem to want any kind of 32 caliber gun. At least Marlin made a few 32 H&R's and 32-20's.

Marlin might not want to chance putting a higher pressure round in a lever action. The 32 H&R was loaded to 22,000 psi, the 357 and 44 mag are in the 35,000 psi range, but the 327 is loaded to 45,000 psi.
