One of these for sale locally. It is 45 ACP. Condition is about 95% (holster wear) unsure of round count. I have been looking for a carry gun, and I am wondering what folks who might be carrying one think of them. Please don't start debating the merits of Taurus in general. I already have a PT92 in 9mm which I love and I have heard the arguments on both sides of the aisle.

Thanks in advance

I had the .40 flavor that I sold to a friend who was getting into shooting. I carried it for about 8 months. Reliability was very good, I never had a single malfunction with it. The slide is fairly thin, which made concealment a little bit easier. The grip did have a rather prominent hump to it, but I suspect that the .45 will be more familiar to the hand, due to the longer .45acp versus the .40. It will fit in holsters designed for a USP, as its roughly the same size and shape.

Overall, I think its a very solid gun, that I would heartily recommend.

P.S. This might be a better thread for the Autoloaders section.

I bought one for my son to use in IDPA. It has a very short trigger reset, and has second strike capability (sa/da). You need a different holster from the 9mm/40 as the gun is a little bit larger. He has used it for six months and is very happy with it. The thumb safety is a bit sticky, and there is no way to decock after chambering a round, but nice sights (straight 8s) and very reliable.
