We recently moved from AZ to WI have CCW in both states now.
Back to the OP, if on tribal land then tribal rules.
As far as the sign goes, I do not find it offensive.
At least it warned you ahead of time instead of being tried in front of the tribal counsel

Merely a way to save money so they do not have to have two signs made. Fed building are what they are. Some folks might not realize it is a fed building.

I find photos uploaded sideways offensive. Aside from that, it's a sign showing everything they banned; not my problem those two items happen to both be banned since they have historically both been linked to the ham-fisted efforts of the misguided, striving to achieve a crime-free society. My only problem is that it bars me from entering should I chose to carry one of the items depicted for my own, legal reasons.

Fed Building is an automatic "no carry", regardless of where it is.

That's true. Signage helping clarify that it's a federal building and not a tribal building may have been what he was getting at. That's how I read it anyway.
