Anyone else have Rockefeller Syndrome??

I don't want to have so many primers and so much powder that its starts going bad before I use it. And pre owned powder and primers don't seem to hold their value. I try to keep enough to shoot all I want to for 2 election cycles. But with brass, lead and bullets I just keep adding to the stash. Not so bad on the equipment, I kind of have what I need. Except for bullets molds, just keep getting them!

What!? You don’t have a wet tumbler? You should go online and buy one right now! You know it will save you a bunch of money! And you’ll get to shoot more! ;)

Since I started rotory tumbling my brass I have lost thirty pounds and have found much more energy! My Boss noticed the new bounce in my step and gave me a raise! And Susan from Accounts Recievable is meeting me at that French place after work tomorrow.

I highly recommend wet tumbling. My brass even got cleaner.

When John D. Rockefeller was asked, “How much money is enough?” He responded with “Just a little bit more...”

It might not be with money for me but as far as my reloading supplies, tools, ammo, guns, and equipment it certainly is.

Just purchased a new Hornady LnL Ap and thought that would subdue me for a while. But I’m already looking at some accessories for said press. Worrying about the “low” quantity of brass I have on hand. Thinking about purchasing a wet tumbler, etc., etc.

One thing about this hobby is that it can be very expensive, but it is an investment right? Am I the only one with this conundrum? What is it that has you eyeing for the next purchase. Or is there something that you gotta simply have more of for the hobby?
I have the same problem. First, the lyman t-mag wasn't fast enough. Along come a hornady AP, then of course I need all the shell plates. Then, another powdmeasurer for pistol. Then, all of a sudden, I don't like the primer arm on the lyman, so to load small batches of rifle rounds, I need a single stage press. Along comes the Lee classic cast press. I almost forgot, you need the lock-n-load bushings for the AP, so shopping I go! I haven't mounted the Lee yet, but , I see they aslo have a quick die detach system, so of course, I must have some of the "lock ring eliminator" . Then I need a universal

So, how long you been with DOD?

!!! Makes we feel like I can stand on the ground and pee on the roof.

Sounds similar to my situation. I remember when I bought my first press and told the wife "it's a good investment, I'll save a lot of money reloading instead of buying ammo"...haha

Humor...blown away by your pics of your equipment, Nam Vet myself. Nothing intended.
No offense taken, But you know us old G.I.s don't speak English or even good "merican" and I have tried to be as "civilian" as I can. But I will be damn if the old G.I. doesn't slip out. And I was wondering where I slipped up.
And as far as the presses on my bench, I just got tired of folks complaining about how much the Hornady was crap and they couldn't get them to run. So I bought 3 of the ones on my bench and in 10 minutes they all were running fine.

I’ve only had my Hornady for a couple of seconds, but I absolutely love it. Total game changer.

When I purchased a progressive press I couldn't believe how much fun it was to make ammo. Before I knew what happened I was order brass in 2k lots. I have enough .38 Spl, .357 Mag, .44 Spl and .44 Mag to last the rest of my life. I probably only have 2k of .45 acp though. I didn't go nuts with it.

sounds like someone Very close to me. Us old G.I.s aren't long on b.s., in my opinion. Also, in my opinion, I don't think RCBS green would look like that, line up and all. And I have an RCBS press.

You got the fever. I Hope you never lose it.
