I just got mine back in the mail because somehow I forgot to check off the military service info. Thankfully they didn't take my $125 payment, sent it straight back the same day I got it so it shouldn't be too long now.

Anyone else have silliness to share?

It's like any other government application ... if you don't cross all the T's and dot all the I's it will get rejected.

the only silly thing i encountered was it taking 6 months to get it after i took the class, filled out all the paperwork and sent it to austin.

I went through it seems like 500 times and honestly don't know how I overlooked it. I'm impressed by how quickly they sent it back, hopefully it will be approved just as quickly. The office is very helpful and really nice people. It's my mistake, the question isn't relevant to me so I was slightly annoyed.

This is no different than a fingerprint card returned for not being legible.

But it's really frustrating when you've just got lousy fingers for printing. I had to submit my prints three times (with a month-ish between each rejection) for my CWP. Supposedly SC LED "has" to accept the third submission. The ATF waited two days short of six months to reject my fingerprints for a Form 4. I resubmitted five sets along with a letter from the LEC fingerprint guy. That "only" took another four months for approval. Most recently it took me almost three months to get a TWIC card through the TSA.

The wife's prints bounced the first time.
Just submitted 2nd set with a letter from P.D. that did prints the 2nd time saying, "this is the best we can do"

We were told not uncommon for female prints to be difficult to "read".
Due to aging, detergents and other abrasives on the hands over time.
Fl must accept 2nd set and issue.

I had no trouble, but a guy in my same town was rejected because he made some posts on message board the police thought were irresponsible.
