Anyone Else Think This Is Wrong?

I was in a gun store a recently and saw Silver Bullet Gun Oil for sale. It turns out that it contains 13% pig fat and is meant to be "Counter-Islamic" by coating bullets with pig fat and thus, apparently according to Islam, condemning a Muslim shot with this bullet to hell.

Look, I'm a Christian. To put it very mildly, I disagree with Islam and consider it false. That said, this doesn't seem like something that's exactly High Road. What do you think? Am I just oversensitive on this?
 
If there was a Gun Oil that condemned Christians to hell if shot by bullets coated in it do you think they would shoot you or other christians with it? i vote yes...

i am not islamic nor anti-islamic, but if they were my enemy i wouldnt be opposed to useing it, though i really dont see a point as i dont believe them going to hell would have anything to do with my pig-oil
 
That is most definitely not high road.

However it is slightly amusing.

Someone please correct my history if I am mistaken, but I recall that MacArthur, while governor of the Phillipines, would have the bullets dipped in pig fat for execution of criminals. Nothing wrong with a little psychological warfare.
 
Such a product may be extremely useful if adopted by the US military over in the middle east; Many if not most of the domestic terrorists over there are fundamental Islamics, and don't care if they die (hence the prevalence of suicide bombings). They will probably care a lot that they're condemned to hell, though.
 
It would be the equivalent of saying that we could use the blood of slain americans as a lubricating agent. Im sorry but all the anti-ISLAM talk is extreamly ignorant and childish. If you are anti terrorist thats fine but ISLAM is a peacful religion and it gets a bad rap from the extreamist sects.

you seem very uneducated on the subject and very brain washed into thinking superority and that everything else is non exsitent, no offence. Go actually interact with a muslum and you will see they are not all extream. And the pig thing is all about the pig being a "dirty" animal.

I'm pretty sure the Quaran saying nothing about being condemened. I will refer to an Imam for better understanding. ALSO this is extreamly non-high road.

He didn't say he thought all Muslims were extremists, he said that as a Christian he believed their religion to be false. Muslims believe that Christianity is false. Hindus believe that they are right, etc.

Funny that you want the political correctness applied in one direction but not the other.

Here's a real shocker for you, might want to sit down:

Most religions believe theirs is right and all the others are wrong. That does not make either of them extremists unless they begin to use violence to eliminate the other.

And to the point, putting lube on bullets is stupid, whatever the reason :)
 
Its not very High Road, but neither is terrorism. But greased bullets are also banned by some treaty (Geneva Conventions maybe?). I believe the Brits use to use them back when the sun never set on the British Empire.
From a psyops standpoint, I bet it would be very effective in our current war, but it would never fly in today's political climate.

Rather silly, childish, and very low-road if you ask me. Plus with extremists, religion is only a partial motivator. There was a very nice book written on this subject by Robbert Pape appropriatley titled "Dying to win: The strange logic of suicide terrorism." A fairly stimulating book, and I would highly recomend it to anyone seeking a further understanding into some of the nuances of the current suicide terrorism movements. Link. Funny fact, prior to the Iraq War, the leading group to execute suicide attacks were the Hindu Tamil Tigers, its just the Islamic groups got significantly more press since they targeted Israel.
 
Islam is historically just as peaceful as Christianity, i.e. it's not.
