Anyone here own any Browning Optics rifle scopes?
Hi,
I'm wanting to get a decent scope and am considering one of two lines and looking for a little help with this decision.
I have heard that the "Browning Optics" line was made by Bushnell for Browning and is discontinued.
I read the Browning line is made to the standards of the Bushnell Elite series (not sure if it's 3200 or 4200) in every way except that there is no RainGuard.
Does anyone know (hopefully from experience) if this is true?
I called Bushnell and a rep told me the standard of the Bushnell Brownings is more comparable to the Bushnell Legend series than the Bushnell Elite series. But then I was thinking maybe Bushnell wants to sell their scopes, not some discontinued model made for Browning.
Next I called Browning and spoke directly to the manger of the Browning Optics division.
He told me the Browning line is based on the Elite 3200 but they used Elite 4200 glass (better grind and polish than the 3200).There is no RainGuard coating, but there is Dura-Brite and ALL lenses are fully multi-coated.
Now I just gotta find someone who actually owns one so I can see how a shooter likes this scope.
Thanks,
Mike
