Stopped by a few gunshops this weekend, which usually never turns out good (atleast from my wife's perspective). At the last stop I found a rather odd little .22 rifle that piqued my interest. Basically brand new but on the used rack for $150 was an Armscor 1600R. Went around the shop a few times but eventually it followed me home.
Took it to the range and got 2 mags through it flawlessly. On mag three I went to pick up the gun and the pistol grip disintegrated in my hand. Took it down for the day but not a major inconvienence since I was going to swap that out anyway.
Sunday it got a Wally World make-over with the removal of the carry handle and installation of a 3-9x32mm scope. Removed the front sight post and added new sling studs and a Rock Mount bipod. From what information i've found it is said to be an accurate rifle and I figured I would probably use it more from the bench in this configuration.
Ordered a muzzle brake from Midway for a 10/22 that should go well on this , found some spare magazines, and am thinking of a possible camo paint scheme in the future.
Not very much information out there on them but it seems like a fun plinking rifle.
