Checking in, just found this thread. I belong to Hub City Rifle & Pistol Club, and shoot at the public range in Sherburne also. Haven't shot at Barney's yet, and I live in Lafayette.

keno44:

Have you been to our new range yet?

Safety Classes on Saturdays at 10:00 until the end of October.

Anyone can attend the safety course but you must be a member or a guest of a member to shoot.

Persons who have applied for membership may attend, but may not shoot unless they are a guest of a member with a Red Safety Card.

The safety course is directed towards range rules for safe shooting at the Hub City Rifle & Pistol Club ranges on the Fuslier Complex property.

Please go to www.hcrpc.com for more info

Natchitoches -- Meat Pies

I'm way up in the north -- Natchitoches, LA. Home of the famous meat pies.

And, the Natchitoches Shooting Range.

Public facility with rifle, handgun, trap/skeet, sporting clays, and 5-stand ranges.

7.62mm,

I was there for the grand opening and dedication, but have not been out there yet to shoot. Will probably get out there in October to shoot. Got my renewal and gate key by mail about a week ago.

Bergeron:

Pop Hyamms looked good an hour ago when he stopped in at my office! (He's the rangemaster at our shooting range, folks.)

Pop's too tough to ever die.

When you coming back up to shoot? I picked up a nice little Grulla 12-gauge double. Too light to shoot a lot, but it sure is nice.

Guntalk:

I really don't know when I'll be back there. I might be headed over to Shreveport sometime soon to talk to Clark Custom about my broken 1911, and if I do that, I'll have to stop in to Natchitoches and say hi to Pop. Is the range still teaching CCW classes? My folks got their permits under your instruction, and were HIGHLY impressed with the class.

For ya'll around Lafayette:

Saturday night is the Bowling Pin Match at Barney's. I'll be there, and if anyone wants any extra info, PM me.

I'm from Houma. I just became a member of the site a few weeks ago. I'm looking to get my CCW permit in the next few months. Good to see a few other Louisianians on the board.
