Anyone got any Black Friday plans/expectations?

I forgot to mention that Black Friday is something that I like to call: vacant range day. Since everyone is either home or shopping, the range is going to have a lot more open space than normal, so bring all your guns and toys and go to town.

I usually go deer hunting because that is some of the only time I get off work during rifle season.

Although last year I did go to Gander Mountain to buy a Mossberg SA-20 for $300, probably not a great deal but pretty good. I was amazed at the number of people piling in for the $120 or so Mosins.

I used to not ever go to Black Friday sales. Then I found out that as long as I only go to Home Depot, Lowe's and Academy, it's not much of a hassle at all.
Last year I picked up two Rossi .357s for $199 each at Academy. Opened up a credit card and ended up walking out the door with both of them for $378.
Gave them to my son and son-in-law for Christmas and it made their day.
Academy usually has the Heritage Roughrider .22 revolvers on sale for $99. Hope to pick up a couple of those this year.
Lowe's and HD usually have crazy prices on Shop Vacs and ladders. Like a $79 Shop Vac for $29. Got a couple of those last year. Also picked up a Werner
4' ladder and a Werner aluminum painter's platform for $20 each. Yeh, I'll be there.

I'll be spending some quality time in the woods hoping a deer crosses my path so I can shoot it and later eat it. Only reason to get out of bed on black friday, IMO.

To expand on Black Friday shopping: Frankly, I very much dislike driving and shopping any time between Thanksgiving and New Years Day. The shopping crowds and crazy drivers... YUCK!!:barf: I try to stock up on everything I need before all that nonsense begins so all I have to do is drive to work and back home. Yeah, I'm a grumpy old phart.:D

BF is like other holidays. Stay home and let all the other people kill each other to save a few bucks or rush around on the highways.
Wait 'till after Christmas and you'll get better deals and be able to do it at your leisure.
