It's a Sig SRD762Ti in 7.62. My friend tried to attach it and said that the mount goes over the threads and only catches about 2-3 of them. He said it needed to be "downturned" but I don't know what that means. I don't think there is another mount specifically for .300 Blackout since it's .30 cal which is the same as 7.62, correct?

Sorry, meant to put this in accessories.

I think there is a typo there - maybe you mean SRD762Ti?

I'm not sure about the main issue. I have the non-QD version of the 7.62TI, and it attaches to normal 5/8 24 threads. The female threads inside the suppressor come a lot closer to the rear of the suppressor than the treads in your brake seem to. Perhaps Sig intends the hex part to telescope over the end of the barrel, and the slight swell at the end of your barrel interferes?

I'd call Sig. I have a PDF of the blueprints for the taper lock thing they use for their threaded cans. I elected to forgo that and just did straight threads, but it seems like they are willing to publish that kind of info.

Please post the eventual resolution; I've thought about trying one of the QD brake mounts, so I'd love to hear what you discover.

He said it is less then 2 full turns til tight and he'd like to see 4-6 full turns. He said he'd like to see 1/2" of threads used and it's about 1/8" right now.

Could I have the wrong mount?
