I bought a Ruger American ranch rifle in ,300 Blackout. I bought the rifle mainly for a range toy but I will also use it for another pig gun to use once in a while. I would like to have the ability for a higher capacity mag and was wondering if I bought a Boyds stock for the Ruger Gunsite Scout short action rifle and the Ruger gunsite bottom metal would it fit?
If it will then it is a fairly inexpensive upgrade to get the rifle more how I would like it to be.

In short, nope. The Gunsite Scout is built on the M-77 Mk 2 action, and the American is a new lower cost design. Different bedding, and pretty much different everything. I think Boyds makes a stock for the American, but it won't accommodate an extended magazine. I would suggest extending the American's magazine with kydex and a longer spring from an M 16 mag. Maybe epoxy or even a super glue will hold the two together. Might be a fun project.

As popular as the Ruger American's are I expect someone to offer a higher capacity magazine for them soon. They use a similar rotary design like the 10-22 and they have been numerous aftermarket magazines made for those.

I don't want a 30 round magazine, but would buy a 10 round magazine for my 223 and 308 if available at a reasonable cost. I expect that will happen sooner rather than later.

I've wondered if the ranch would fit in the Ruger american predator stock?
It might not offer you an extended capacity magazine but it would give you a new stock if it fits.
