Anyone who owns one or has personal experience with this revolver willing to share their experience? I'm in the market for a cheap 22 revolver and it looked pretty good at the gun shop. Please, only people with actually have some experience with this particular revolver.

If you want to do some research you might want to do a Google search.

I've Googled and read what I could find. Most of the results end up with people bashing Rossi just because it's not a S&W or Ruger. I was hoping to find a few people who gave honest impressions whether good or bad of this particular revolver. I'll look at the Taurus forum though.

I don't know what model you're talking about, what the barrel length is or what you intend to use it for; however, I had two Rossi .22lr stainless 4-inch revolvers (now one), and both are/were outstanding, accurate, well built, impressive guns. I say that in the context of them being plinking pieces, though this particular model would make a great drawer gun for home protection.

Here's a photo of the one I have:

There are some tool marks on the front sight, but the gun is rugged and tight, accurate and easy to clean. Not only is it a great plinking gun, it's a great kit gun. Although I prefer the Ruger Mark II/III autos and Single-Six .22 revolver for plinking, the Rossi 511 is useful for practicing one's revolver skills. It's also a nice addition to one's bugout bag. This and 500 rounds could be very handy.

So yes, the gun is outstanding.

Very nice! I think the model I'm looking at getting is a model 98. 4" barrel and would just be a plinker.
