Anyone have a very good quail hunting farm, lease, or spot in OK, TX, or KS?

I will exchange hunts with you, I have access to 20,000 + acres of great Pheasant and decent Quail hunting in Central Kansas.

If your a Deer hunter we have lots of huge Muleys and Whitetails that get no pressure at all in gun season. Kansas deer are huge with nice racks because basically they get to eat like a steer at a feed yard. 10 and 12 points are the norm, have spotted up to 22 pointers.

PM me if you have the quail.

Thanks,

i did real good on the blackkettle national grass lands last year. lots a birds and lots of stickers so bring booties for your dogs. saddlebum

I second that I was there last year with about 5 people for the special doe season. My friends dad and I got tired of not seeing any deer so we started carrying our shotguns. We didn't have a dog but still got into quite a few coveys. Only game killed that weekend I might add.

You can pick up pretty detailed maps as to what land is public or not. It is mostly marked.

Saddlebum Black Kettle is rather large

Where could I start to find good hunting? Or next time you go hunting out there give me a 2 week notice and I could meet you there. January and Febuary is when I like to hunt OK and TX so its not so hot, and the dogs can hunt longer without overheating.

Thanks,

you can't bird hunt blackkettle while deer season is open.so after the first of the year is best. i have 320 in that area but i lease to a hunting club so they have the rights. every place i tried on blackkettle had birds. saddlebum
