Anyone have load suggestions for .357mag 140gr Rem SJHP?

The Speer #14 Reloading Manual shows a starting load of 7.2 gr of Unique for a 140 gr jacketed bullet in the 357 mag and 5.0 gr for the 38spl +P load with the same bullet. Why not start with either of these two loads and work up if needed. Good shooting :)

I load Remington 140 grain SJHP almost extensively. But I got away from Unique years ago. I use Aliant 2400 for moderate loads and W-296 for my hotter loads. I could help ya there, but not with Unique...

Try 8.0 grains Unique with a 140 grain bullet.
I have used it for years.

Lyman #47 shows:
7.0 starting load giving 949 FPS in a 4" barrel.

8.9 grain MAX load giving 1,233 FPS @ 40,000 CUP.
This is over the current SAAMI standard pressure for the .357, but should be safe in any good .357 revolver.
