Has anyone heard of a Mossburg 600? My father gave me one years ago and I wanted to get another barrell for it but I can't find anything on it. Mossburgs website doesn't even acknowledge the model.....

A quick Google suggests its a discontinued pump-action 12-gauge (perhaps other gauges, too). The only mention I could find on Mossberg's site is on this page

There are a couple currently for sale on GunsAmerica, too.

Regarding the barrel, you might ask over at the Mossberg Collectors site here, or just look around the various auction sites (GunsAmerica, Auction Arms, Gunbroker, etc.).

Good luck.

I think the Mossberg 600 became the Maverick 88, if that's the case, they are a reliable, inexpensive, version of the Model 500....

As for barrel interchangability, check with http://www.havlinsales.com , If they don't know, nobody will...

Don't spend too much on them....I don't think they have any value other than as a functional 12GA pump, my guess would be no more than $140 - $150.

I looked when I got home from work and on the bottom of the receiver it says "New Haven by Mossburg, then 600ast"... I asked my dad and he said he tried to put a scope on it a while back and he couldn't find a mount that would fit it...I don't know, maybe I should leave it be and start shooting my newely acquired 870....

What you have there is a mossberg 500A. Mossberg made the gun for New Haven with their model number 600 on it. Mossberg made a couple dozen or so guns for new haven with their model numbers having the first number changed one higher or lower than mossberg's.
