I guess this has been around a few years. I came across it while researching something else. Looks interesting.

One reviewer said it "hurt" his hand until he figured out a good grip, but I am not at all sure what he meant.

Seems to have a long and heavy DA trigger with a light SA and short reset.

Supposedly popular in Europe?

Anyone seen or held or shot one of these? Very curious.

I owned one for a short while that I bought used. For me there were no issues with the grip. The trigger was about 7 lbs DA and around 3 SA. SA I could shot it as well as any pistol I've owned. In SA the length of pull is much shorter than in DA. It was well built and is intended for competition and should come with 5 magazines. The sights were very good.

Everyone who shot the Pro XT while I had it loved it. It got a lot of interest from people at the range who didn't recognize it. I bought it to try a DA/SA pistol and because of this Patrick Kelley review. For me the length of pull was too short in SA. I put about 800 rounds through it and traded it in at my LGS. I found out that I prefer striker fired pistols.

I was fortunate. I traded it for the same amount that I paid for it.

There is a good thread on Brian Eno's forum about it.

If you like DA/SA hammer fired all steel guns you will probably love it.

I was interested in one but I already have a couple of CZ Shadows which would fill a similar roll for me. Overall the Thunder Pro XT looks like a really good gun but I could do without the decocker. Also I wonder about parts in the future if they no longer get imported.

railroader----thanks and good point. Right now I think Eagle imports handles them. But Eagle used to handle Grand Power and now that they do not I am not seeing hardly any Grand Powers except the striborg.

Another issue with them was it needs an extended mag release according to reviews because the stock one is almost flush. They sell them on eagles website but they seem to have been out of stock forever.

I did not have any issue with the stock mag release on the Pro XT. I think that the newer ones ship with the longer mag release from what I read on the Bersa Chat forum.

This sounds like an interesting pistol. Not to many of them on Gunbroker, but a few... Certainly none to look at anywhere around where I am.

If you are near NW Indiana they have a used one at the Shoot Point Blank in Merrillville. I can attest that it is in great condition, I traded it in.
