After reading everything above, I've got no business complaining about the mandatory overtime. My line of work depends more on long, cold winters than anything else, and we've been working 6 and 7 day weeks since January to try to keep up. Seems like I've been burning the candle at both ends just to make ends meet, and I haven't been able to save enough for a new Bushmaster.
I'm very glad I moved my 401k to bonds 2 years ago.
I also have to send my eternal gratitude to my folks. I got activated (Air Gaurd) & then laid off halfway to my degree last year. I cannot afford to go to school so now I work for a pittance leaning heavily on the family for help. It looks like I will be activated again here real soon, which will help my money problems, but hurt the family while I am gone. I just want to get it over with and back to normal around here.
I have a roof over my head and food in the belly.I have a car that runs and gets me around. With the increase in gas prices and prices in grocery stores I have 0 extra bu tI am thankful for what I have.A lot of people have less.
I guess I am blessed

Over the past year or so, I've whined about my economic situation. So let me briefly summarize:
1. I'm self-employed as an advertising photographer.
2. Most companies have either cut advertising spending drastically or eliminated it altogether.
3. (1) + (2) = my income is 60% of what it was two years ago, and 40% of what it was just four years ago.
For those of you who are union, count your blessings that you have jobs, much less the wage increases you're fighting for.
been out of work for over 2 months now , REcieved letter from bank on foreclosure procedeings (there goes roof ) truck died last week cost me $500 to get it fixed (distributor gear broke off teeth ) bank calling on truck too. if I don't find work by the 7th of april will have to declare bankruptcy and quit the american dream .. at least family and friends have been supportive. My brother gives me internet service free ( thanks FRED ) so atleast I am able to be here . but I migh have to discontinue my meds and I don't want to go thru that hellish ordeal again (I lost too much of my life to this disease I have )
WHINE MODE OFF ..
