I haven't seem one in any gun shops, but am really interested in one. I'm sure some on here own one. How do you feel it compares to other popular striker fired pistols?(Glock, XD, MP, etc)

Most reviews on it seem to be pretty favorable. What are the best prices you can find them for? For what I'm seem they look to be competitively priced with their comparable competition.

I'm just looking for y'all all around impression of the gun? Everything from ergo's, to accuracy, reliability, value, etc? Is it a good CC weapon when compared to say a G19?

Also how do the long barrel FNS guns compared to the long barrel guns from the competition?

I've got an fns-40 and I love it. Low bore axis, reliable, soft shooting, accurate, and quite handsome. I would have picked up an fns-9, but I also like da/as hammer fired. I got an fnx-9 instead. Personally, I like the fns better.

The fns-40 has an external safety, which I like. How do they stack up to other polymer pistols? Well, the FNH line of guns is the reason I sold my glocks.

Thanks guys!

How would y'all rate it as a CC gun? Is it too big to conceal easily? How would it compare to say a G19 for CC?

I have fns40 its a great gun shoots really well reliable and easy take down,
for cc its not a compact but with a good holster and belt you just need to
try different positions to cc it

I find the FN pistols to be as easy to conceal as the G19 if a bit more so. The fns is quite slim compared to a Glock. With a good holster, it's easy to pack all day as the empty weight is only like 24 oz.

I had one for a while. Couldn't get used to the break of the trigger.
My problem too, and when I came across a second hand PPQ shortly after I bought mine, it pretty much killed my interest in the FNs although I still need to try an FNX. I prefer DA/SA so who knows.. I hate to say it because they are good guns, but they just feel a little "tinny" or chincy to me.

I have an FNS 9 and it is my favorite range gun. Very reliable and very accurate. Probably would not make a good carry gun though. A Shield 9 is a great carry gun! I would not pass up an FNS for an all around house gun!
