already have a 10/22, sig 522, marlin bolt 22lr, henry golden boy .22lr.

im looking for a reliable(with cheaper ammo) semi auto youth to train kids and throw around in the truck or boat. i like what i see on youtube but how does the blaze hold up after thousands of rounds? still reliable?

i only need ok plinking accuracy but high capacity.

I handled one. Felt fairly loose and cheap, and later reading of reviews didn't offer me much confidence.

It's about twice the price of the Mossberg 702 Plinkster. I got the 702 early this year for $99 at Wal-Mart, and have been thoroughly impressed with it. It's a light, slick-handling .22 carbine that would likely suit your intended purpose more than satisfactorily. It runs flawlessly with Federal AutoMatch, the only ammo I've tried in it so far. I had been looking at the Blaze as a possible truck gun, but decided that another 702 would be a much better choice.

The 702 has a ten-round magazine, but 25-round ones are available.

Build quality on the Mossberg 22 rifles is lowest of the bunch from what I've seen. The blaze has a polymer receiver and sells for the same price as a 795 or model 60 and for only $20 more you can get a 10/22 carbine if you look hard.
