Hi guys, I am looking at a new browning blr in 243, does anyone know anything about them. pros, cons?

BLR

I own a rem 7 Mag stainless stalker. I really enjoy the accuracy that the rifle has. It is an older model so no BOSS compensator, but I've heard nothing but good things about the tuning capabilities of the system. Mine is topped with a Nicon 2x7. I'd say if the price was good, go for it. Its a nice shooting rifle. Mike

There was a time that I really had it bad for one. I like the action design, and I like that you can load spitzers in its (non-tubular) magazine.

I have one and really like it for a hunting rifle.

It is not a target rifle as barrel is too thin and if you try to shoot for groups, they open up really fast as barrel heats up.

Mine has always been very reliable and it will put the first couple of rounds right where you want them. It's my favorite coyote rifle.

I've had one for over ten years. Flawless operation on deer and hogs. I replaced the rear sight with a peep. The only thing that's not right is they are finished like a piano. Too shiny. I've almost taken it apart to refinish the wood a few times, but it's too pretty.

'Cept it's loud. Supposedly Browning took it off of production rifles because of potential lawsuits by hunters with permantently damaged hearing.
