Redfield 5 star 6-18x40
Long story short im finishing up an older walnut Remington 700 build , trying to stay nastalgic with the look of the rifle and will be going with a gloss scope as the gun itself is high gloss blued finish over walnut stock .
While looking for a nice older high gloss scope (which are impossible to find other than eBay )
I remembered I had pops old high gloss Redfield in the back of the gun safe .
I know the better ones were made in Denver from what I've heard , this one is marked Philippines. He had it on an older model 70 Winchester that he used for elk , he sold the gun long ago and kept the scope .
Im building this rifle to use in Texas exclusively every year , my spot is about 75 - 100 yards shot max , so will this thing be overkill on a deer rifle ?
Pics included , any info would be appreciated , any help on how I should go about sighting it in and on what powers , etc if I decide to use it .
I'm just a regular 3x9 guy this thing is way over my head .
